Product Review: Garland rawhide and plastic mallets

Rawhide mallets are used in jewelry making because they will not mar metals like silver and gold. Other materials such as wood, urethane, plastic, and nylon can also be used as heads for nonmarring mallets, but rawhide is softer than all of these and is the mallet most commonly used by jewelry makers.
