Amy Roper Lyons and Pat Pruitt won awards in the gold/platinum and silver/alternative metals categories, respectively, at the first-ever Couture Jewelry Awards and Sale, held December 8, 2007, in New York. Roper Lyons specializes in 18k gold and silver enameled jewelry, and Pruitt is known for his work in nontraditional metals and fabrication techniques. Over 450 jewelers applied to be considered for the awards, and 42 jewelers were juried into the show.
