How To: Open and Close a Jump Ring

Hold the jump ring with two pairs of chainnose pliers or a pair of chainnose and roundnose pliers.

To open the ring, bring one pair of pliers toward you and push the other away in a rotating motion. Reverse the steps to close the ring.
